I am making some web space available to aviation collectors who have surplus items in their collections and want to make these available to other collectors, either by selling them or swapping them. I don't ask any fees and I don't take any responsibility for items offered on this page.

Mark Johnson from Precise Models LLC is selling models and parts from Precise Models Inc. These models are all new old stock and are in their original box. Note that the stock is very limited as there were only few models left at the factory and the factory has closed its doors so there will not be any new production. Restoration of Gun Sights and other cockpit parts.

Kevin Smith has much experience in restoring vintage aircraft gun sights and fabricating complete control panels for military aircraft. He uses CAD and professional tooling equipment to do so. Vintage USAF Topping (or Precise Models) A-7 Corsair II model, scale 1/48. It is loaded with its weaponry and was made for the LTV Aerospace Corporation in the 1960s and handed out to industry and government VIPs or pilots of the aircraft when they completed a certain number of missions. For restoration, vintage Topping Inc. Grumman Guardian AF-2W Hunter model in Navy dark sea blue colour. Produced early 1950s. Ventral radome for search radar, fin and stand are missing, one propeller blade is loose. Made of resin in scale 1/40 (length is about 32 cm), presumably produced in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Vintage Topping Naval Air Traning T2V-I stand base, showing an carrier and aircraft in relief. The stand base is about 14 cm long and 8 cm wide and is in excellent condition. Vintage Precise Models General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon contractor scale models for sale, with stands in the original box, scale 1/48 or 1/100. The models are all new and have never been taken out of the original box (box may have some some water staining from a leak in the Precise Models Inc. factory). The 1/48 scale models have a fuselage length of 37 cm including pitot tube and a wingspan of 24 cm. The 1/100 scale models have a fuselage length of 20 cm including pitot tube and a wingspan of 13 cm. The models are made from ABS resin. I acquired these models when Precise Models Inc. closed its doors because of retirement of the owner in 2003. The pictures above show the Belgium 1/100 and Israeli 1/48 scale models and stands. Other 1/48 scale F-16 models are in the markings of Bahrein, Indonesian, Netherlands, Singapore and Royal Norwegian Air Forces. Vintage unfinished General Dynamics F-16 model, scale 1/100. The model comes without stand and is only partly painted. It is in an original Precise Models Korean Air Force F-16 box. Vintage Precise Models Grumman Gulfstream I business turboprop model in factory colours. The Grumman Gulfstream I (company designation G-159, Precise Models carton box indicates 00159 on its side) is a twin-engine business aircraft that flew first in 1958. The scale is about 1/80 - fuselage length 24 cm, wing span about 27 cm. The model dates from the 1960s and was produced by Precise for Grumman, to present to potential buyers and VIPs. The model and stand are made of resin. The condition of model and stand are very good, but one propellor blade has detached and will be included in an enveloppe. It can easily be glued back on. There is minor paint loss on the places where the wings were held in the box by the carton insert (now protected by foam). The model has always been in its original box, which sustained some water damage while stored at Precise in Ohio. Vintage USAF General Dynamics Tomahawk cruise missile. Material is ABS resin and the length is about 20 cm (scale 1/28). This is new old stock, there was no stand available anymore at Precise so an F-16 stand was included to display the model and inner carton packaging is from an AIM-9 missile. SOLD!
Vintage RAF 2 Squadron Raytheon Sparrow III missile. The Sparrow III missile was developped in 1958 and was later renamed to AIM-7. It was used on the F-4 Phantom. Material is ABS resin and the length of the missile is about 20 cm (scale 1/18). This is new old stock in the original box. The model is sold for 59 euro, which includes shipping cost. Vintage Raytheon AIM-7F Sparrow missile. The AIM-7 missile was developped by Raytheon and first used in 1958. The missile was used on the F-4 Phantom. The model has no markings and material is ABS resin. The length of the missile is about 23 cm (scale 1/16). This is new old stock in the original box, but the inner carton holders are gone. Vintage Precise Models Inc. USAF Lockheed Starlifter model. The Lockheed C-141 Starlifter was a military strategic airlifter in service with the Military Air Transport Service (MATS) and its successors. It flew first in 1963. This rare model is in the Military Airlift Command (MAC) livery. The MAC succeeded MATS and was the primary strategic airlift organization of the Air Force from 1966 until 1974.The scale is 1/150 - fuselage length 30 cm, wing span about 33 cm. The model probably dates from the late 1960s and was produced by Precise for Lockheed, to present to potential buyers and VIPs. The model and stand are made of resin. Flight manuals, documentation, photographs and other stuff
Vintage Sestrel No. B4/524/45 naval compass, probably used latest in a Portuguese fishing vessel. The compass was made by the British Henry Browne & Sons Ltd. in Barking & London. The compass rose has faded (see pictures) but turns and indicates North well. The compass is of metal (bronze?) and has a diameter of 16 cm and a height of about 10 cm. Other aircraft manuals and documentation
Instrument flying and navigation for Army aviators field manual 1-5 published in 1980 by the Headquarters Department of the Army. This original manual is loose-leafed and about 2" thick. The last few pages of the Index are missing (Index ends at Turns Rotary wing - Common errors). The manual is in good condition and has several fold out pages. On the cover somebody wrote: "Goodyear" and "wwssb". There is no binder but the manual will fit in a common three ring binder (imperial units). Price 85 euro, including shipping costs. Fokker F27 Friendship Training Manual Electrical Engineers Vol. I. This is a 5 cm thick document in its original Fokker binder dating from 1961 (March 1961 date indicated on some pages), which has sections C. Flight Controls, D. Landing Gear, E. Power Plant, F. Power Plant Controls, G. Propeller Install, H. Fuel and W/M systems, J. Electrical Install, L. Air Conditioning, M. Atmospherics, N. Instruments and Q. Fire Prot. Equipm. Each section has text (stencilled) and many illustrations (technical drawings, photographs), some of which are fold-out. The text explains how the parts are interconnected and how the aircraft systems operate, such as the different power plants used, generator, magnetos ignition systems, instrument autosyn, magnesyn operation, etc. The manual is in good condition with annotations on some pages and some loose pages. United States War Department "Restricted" Technical Manual TM 1-406: Aircraft Electrical Systems. This is a vintage military aircraft manual that was issued by the War Department in Washington DC during the second world war in 1942. The book has 191 pages and was owned by Dennis J. Connelly (name on cover). The book is in good condition and explains fundamentals of electricity, aircraft batteries, generator, magnetos ignition systems, etc. Has lots of diagrams and some photographs. For sale original T.O. 1A-7D-1 flight manual of the A-7D Corsair II attack jet aircraft. This manual was issued to the pilot's of this aircraft and dates from 15 February 1979. It is about 5 cm thick and full of images (see also my A-7D web page). The manual is loose-leafed, complete and comes with two separate change notices (Change 2 and Change 3, 1 March 1980). Original Etudes et Documentation de la Revue Technique Automobile - Matra M 530, M530LX and M 530 SX sports car maintenance manual documentation. The manual is in French and contains details and B/W pictures of the car and drawings of engine, gear box, electrical wiring, and other parts that you need to service the car. Dates from 1976 and is in good condition with some yellowing of the pages. The price of the manual is 49.00 euro including shipping costs in Europe. RAF aircraft cockpit instruments and control panels

F-4 Phantom cockpit instrument panel for sale. For sale is this near-complete F-4M Phantom radar pilot's aft cockpit instrument panel that came from RAF F-4M Phantom FGR XV489 aircraft. The difficult to find parts, such as the elapsed time clock (functioning), flare/chaff control panels and oxygen flow indicator, are included as are all warning lights and edgelit panels. There are some defects, the artificial horizon is missing its knob and the sphere halves have separated, the true airspeed indicator is missing its glass face, and the Waltham 8-day aircraft clock (dated 1964) is not functional and should be repaired. The curtain to provide shade on the panel is still in place on the right hand side of the panel. Note: the mach-airspeed and bearing-heading-distance indicators shown in the pictures are not included in the sale!. McDonnell F-4 Phantom right glare shield of the front cockpit pilot's instrument panel. This is a metal glare shield with mounting holes for the threat warning display indicator, two red flood lights and other warning lights. McDonnell F-4 Phantom right and left glare shields for the front cockpit pilot's instrument panel. These are original metal/polyester glare shields with four red flood lights and mounting holes for warning lights (AN-ALE). These glare shileds are similar in shape and fit on the USAF F-4 Phantoms, but the position of the mounting screws might be different, as is the case for my F-4B panel. The top of the right hand glare shield houses two amphenol connectors where the pilot could connect cables. Grimes black eyebrow lighting fixture B-4785-1. This is a new old stock larger eyebrow light with mounting hole distance of 8.5 cm. US aircraft cockpit instruments and control panels
This is a very nice and near-complete North American F-100F Super Sabre cockpit instrument panel. It contains mostly original instruments, indicator and warning lights, as well as the instrument lighting fixtures. It took me a long time to restore this panel and F-100F panels are nearly impossible to find as only 339 aircraft were built in the 1950s. Some 242 F-100s were lost in combat, with 186 falling to North Vietnamese anti-aircraft defenses. The instruments in the panel are clean, the clock is a Wittnauer 8-day clock and is functional. Altimeter needles also move with air pressure changes. This F-100F cockpit instrument panel is for sale at a price of 1490 euro, excluding shipping costs. Original vintage F-4 Phantom Auxiliary Armament control panel, that was mounted in the front cockpit of USAF and Navy F-4 Phantom aircraft. The panel is in fair condition, with lettering having faded (engraved, can be touched up) and two of the lights kissing (easily replaced) and the pan operate push-to-test lens missing. Otherwise good without any cracks/damage to the edge-ligthed plate. The hole is for the steps up/down button and switches are for coolant, dog fight cmptr and cameras. Stickers on the back show that the aircraft had an upgrade in project Bee-line at Noris Naval Air Rework Facility in 1977. Price 35 euro + shipping costs. Matching pair of Courter Products (Boyne City, Michigan) aircraft pressure (psi) indicators. These indicators have a diameter of 1.5 inch and can be remotely controlled by a pressure transducer using 26 V 400 Hz synchros. These indicators fit in the F-4 Phantom pedestal panels. Bendix Instruments and Life Support Division Exhaust Gas (EGT) temperature indicator, model no. DST1800-2, operating voltage 11-32 Volt, temperature range 1300-1800 F with Cessna part number. Standard 3 inch version. Two Chromel/Alumel (CH/AL) turbine temperature thermocouple sensors can be connected to move the needles independently and internally lighted at 5 V. Manufactured in 1979. Simmonds Precision Turbine Inlet Temperature (TIT) indicator of a military jet aircraft, manufactured in 1968? It has a diameter of 2 inch (face) and length of about 8 inch. There is a repair sticker of Ogden ALC, repaired by Hill AFB. The instrument is in good condition with some paint missing on the housing. Vintage Grimes light, Instrument fixture assembly for sale. Grimes part no. 20-0084-2B-10. Post light that can be mounted on the corner of an aircraft indicator to light it. The lens colour is light blue (white light) and it uses standard 14V or 28V light bulbs (not included). Wire length about 75 cm and in excellent condition and with box. Price 12.50 euro. Vintage F-4 Phantom ID-808/ASQ Remote UHF Channel indicator, manufactured by Collins Radio Company (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) (Label cannot be read). This indicator was mounted on the main pilots and rear cockpit instrument panels in the F-4B and other Phantoms to indicate the channel that the UHF receiver was tuned to. The indicator is in fair condition, the face of the indicator has lost most of its black paint but can easily be repainted and the orange OFF flag has fainted. Instrument paint on indicator housing is a bit flaky from its time of storage in the desert and connector shows some rust. Price is accordingly low at 35 euro, excluding shipping. Three vintage aircraft indicator lights reading D.C. GEN OUT, A.C. GEN OUT and SLATS OUT through red lenses. No indication of producer only have the number 36410-XP13-313 printed on th housing. True airspeed (TAS) aircraft instrument presumably used in an F-4 Phantom aircraft. These indicator has a diameter of 2 inch and can be remotely controlled using a 26 V 400 Hz synchro. These indicator fits in the F-4 Phantom main and RIO cockpit instrument panels. I checked the resistance between pins H and G and the internal 5 V lighting should still be functional. For sale is an early Bell AH-1G Cobra helicopter cockpit instrument panel that propably saw action in Vietnam during the Vietnam war. This compact cockpit instrument panel was installed in a Bell AH-1G Cobra helicopter to display flight information and to house the communication controls and warning lights for the gunner. The AH-1 Cobra helicopter, also called HueyCobra, was a two-seat attack helicopter. The gunner was seated in the front cockpit, in tandem with the pilot. The AH-1G HueyCobra arrived in Vietnam in 1967 and saw extensive action, flying together with the Bell UH-1 Huey helicopters. The instrument panel has a part number and logo printed on the back. Vintage Matthys Verkuyl USAF Republic F-105 Thunderchief "Thud" model, scale 1/50 - fuselage length about 40 cm. The model dates from the mid-1960s and was produced for the Fairchild Hiller Corporation to present to VIPs or F-105 pilots who completed a certain number of missions in Vietnam. The condition is good for its age with some minor scratching and a small dent/damage on the left horizontal stabilizer. Decals are fine and the model looks great. This is an alumium model (material from the old pistons of KLM propeller airliners) and it comes with a chrome stand made by Topping, Inc. Price is 259 euro, excluding shipping costs.
